Refuse and recycling

Refuse and Recycling

Refuse and Recycling is collected on a Thursday.  After Bank Holidays, collections are normally on the Friday.

Which colour box is for which?  Each property should have two recycling boxes, one black and one purple, for the collection of materials each week.  If you want recycling boxes, contact the Borough Council.  The boxes should be used as follows:

PURPLE

Glass bottles and jars (all colours), cans - both steel and aluminium, plastic bottles - including milk, shampoo, detergent, fizzy drinks and water bottles.

BLACK

Paper and cardboard only - including newspapers, magazines, catalogues, directories, cereal packets, envelopes, junk mail, cards, office paper and brochures.

The Borough Council website has details of all services offered in this area.
